Who am I and why should you listen to me in the first place?
After all, there are an awful lot of SEO Consulting Specialists out there these days, many of whom give wildly different advice about achieving those precious and profitable search engine rankings needed for success on the Internet. What makes me Different?

For starters, IceGiant and Google know one another well.

Over the years, my role has changed from what was originally that of a web designer, to that of a Technical Writer & SEO Consultant with a deep understanding of the way Google does business.

In August 2006, I became part of Google's Official Webmaster Help Group...

Google's Official Webmaster Help Group has been an essential place for webmasters and site owners who need help with their sites' web design, text-content and search engine ranking issues since first opening its doors to the public back in June 2005. When, almost three years later, Google first recognized the efforts of those webmaster help group members it termed as "exceptionally active, helpful, competent and friendly", I was among the original twelve members to be officially tagged as a Bionic Poster, which is to say a Top Contributor & Troubleshooter in a webmaster help community of around 30,000, a distinction I have held ever since.
More Bionic Posters have been named since then, but I was one of the original twelve.

It is the daily involvement in Google's support infrastructure which helps to keep my finger on the Internet's changing pulse, and stay ahead of the field in all SEO and online promotion matters.
